On March 7, 2017, Life Care Center of Old Hickory Village in Old Hickory, Tennessee, hosted the Old Hickory Area Chamber of Commerce for its monthly luncheon.
During the program, Nashville’s Mayor Megan Barry spoke about current events and upcoming plans in the Nashville area. Barry also held a question-and-answer segment for the crowd to address their individual topics and concerns. Councilman Larry Hagar was also in attendance and spoke to the crowd about local plans for the Old Hickory community. The chamber offered the Business Spotlight segment to Life Care Center of Old Hickory Village. At that time, Makenzi Burney, director of business development, spoke about the facility and educated the crowd of its role in the community.
Forty members of the Chamber attended the luncheon and had the opportunity to take a tour. Chef Wilton Gyant provided a buffet-style lunch including meatloaf, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and a salad. The chef even carved ham at the serving table.
For dessert, attendees were invited to the ice cream parlor to enjoy ice cream sundaes with fresh toppings and a buffet that included chocolate cake, strawberry shortcake, cheesecake, banana pudding, key lime pie, chocolate-covered strawberries and fresh fruit.
“We appreciate Mayor Megan Barry, Councilman Larry Hagar, and the Old Hickory Chamber for their time spent at our facility and the opportunity to host this luncheon,” said Burney. “We are proud to be a part of this community.”
